We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pool Services Supervisor to oversee the operations of our aquatics programs and facilities. The Pool Services Supervisor will ensure a safe, professional, and engaging environment for all members and guests, managing lifeguards, swim instructors, and other aquatic staff, while developing and implementing diverse aquatics programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Summer (Full-Time):

  • Act as the waterfront supervisor for the summer camp program.
  • Supervise and schedule lifeguards, swim instructors, and other aquatic staff.
  • Coordinate group and private swim lessons.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their children’s progress and program details.

Fall, Winter, Spring (Part-Time):

  • Manage group and private swim lessons and staff scheduling.
  • Ensure consistent and clear communication with parents about their children’s lessons and progress.

Year-Round Responsibilities:

  • Train and certify all aquatics staff in lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid.
  • Develop and implement various aquatics programs, including swim lessons, aquatic fitness classes, and recreational swim activities.
  • Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the pool area, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular in-service training for aquatics staff to uphold high standards of safety and service.
  • Manage the aquatics budget, including purchasing supplies and equipment.
  • Address member inquiries and concerns related to aquatics programs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to promote aquatics programs and events.
  • Monitor pool maintenance and coordinate with facilities staff to address any issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of staff certifications, pool maintenance, and program participation.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in aquatics management or related field preferred.
  • Current certifications in Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) and CPR required.
  • Experience in teaching swim lessons and managing a team is preferred.
  • Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
